A LITTLE ABOUT US
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a loving home environment to homeless or near homeless young adults 18-24 years old.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To house and assist young adults with independent living skills, provide resources for them, and to serve as an advocate. To provide mentoring to help meet their physical, behavioral, and spiritual needs. To help them succeed independently, with confidence and wise decision making, for a brighter future. Entrance into the Mantle House is temporary and transitional. They will be treated with dignity and respect. The primary goal is that these young adults will experience God’s love and compassion.

Mantle House Store is an Old Victorian Home with 2 levels of treasures, collectibles and flea market items, a book store, and children’s room. With proceeds benefiting the transitional home for young adults, your donations and purchases are so appreciated. Come for a visit.

My name is Emily. I grew up in Westmoreland Co. I came to Mantle House Mission in May. I was at a youth detention second shelter. I became homeless when I was 17yo. I am now 21yo. I haven’t lived at home since I was 17. I was at a different adolescent center and moved back down to go on a trial at an independent living home. I then went to the youth detention shelter and I then found Mantle House Mission. I enjoy being here and I love being able to be part of a family here. I feel love for the first time in a long time. I’m now learning to be independent and be a child of God. I go to church every Sunday and read the scriptures and devotionals.
